Store Policy
Pricing:
Prices listed on this site are retail prices. I do not offer lower prices through my studio.
There are several factors that influence the value of original art, such as the work’s size, media, and production cost. Artists can choose to price their work on a time and materials basis, by the square inch, or randomly.
I choose to price my work based roughly on the square inch model. I don’t believe you should pay more for a piece because it took me longer to paint it. Some pieces come together quickly, some I labor over for way too long. My responsibility is to create a work that creates a feeling, mood, or emotion within you. If I do that, then I am successful.
I also really like that the value of each 24 x 24 inch is the same, as is each 30 x 30 or 36 x 36.
Prices are subject to change without notice.
Because of the many factors involved in deciding the final price for commission work, prices may vary from the standard square inch price.

Shipping:
Packing, shipping, and insurance is included in the price of your purchase to US Addresses only.
I’m happy to ship internationally. If you would like a quote for international shipping please email info@ClareONeill.com your shipping address and a list of the pieces you are interested in. All duties and border taxes for international shipping are the purchaser’s responsibility.
Prints: Standard shipping is 3-5 business days for domestic shipments.
Prints are mailed in a durable cardboard tube. They are stored flat until shipping and then rolled with glassine paper to protect the surface of the print.
Prints will need to be flattened and may take a few days to “relax” depending on humidity and time they spent rolled up. When removing the print, handle prints by the edges. All prints include a border around the image to allow for easier handling, matting and framing.
Original Artworks: Economy freight shipping is 7-10 business days for domestic shipments. Because of the materials used, my artwork is created on a birch paneled board and cannot be separated from stretch bars and rolled into a tube for shipping. Artworks are individually packaged to protect against potential damage during the shipping process. Archival materials are used in all cases in which packaging comes into direct contact with artwork. Art care instructions are included with each piece.
If you are in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, I will be happy to deliver your artwork to your home or office.

Clare O’Neill is a Minneapolis based artist whose work is created by slowly building up a surface with multiple layers—using bold brush strokes and playful drips to create backgrounds full of gesture, spontaneity, and motion. Her work is large, so the photographs are printed on tissue paper in multiple pieces, and then carefully embedded into the layers of hot beeswax.
