I Paint with Beeswax and Fire.
Using beeswax not only allows for an amazing luminosity that no other medium has, but each added layer of wax is fused with the layer below—just like in life, where our past is merged with our present.
Working with this medium reflects life itself—messy, unpredictable, and beautiful. The process is a dance between control and surrender, like navigating the ups and downs that ultimately shape us into who we are.
I love that beauty can emerge from chaos, and that mistakes can be turned into something beautiful with time and patience. When creating a piece, I always have a starting point, but seldom an ending point. Beeswax is hard to tame, and sometimes takes me in directions I don’t expect. Each layer tells a story, each mark a moment in time.
Just as I embrace the imperfections and surprises that come with working with beeswax, I hope others can find a little piece of my personality embedded in the beeswax and a connection to themselves through viewing my work.
With all good wishes,
